# Installing WXP Opening Times

WXP Opening Times is available for free from the official WordPress Plugin Directory. You can install it directly from your WordPress dashboard or manually by downloading and uploading the plugin's ZIP file.

## Method 1: Install from the WordPress Dashboard (Recommended)

1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
2. In the left-hand menu, navigate to **Plugins → Add New Plugin**.
3. In the search box, enter **WXP Opening Times**.
4. Locate **WXP Opening Times** in the search results.
5. Click **Install Now**.
6. Once the installation is complete, click **Activate**.

The plugin is now installed and ready to configure.

## Method 2: Download and Upload the Plugin Manually

You can also download the plugin from WordPress.org and upload it to your website.

### Step 1: Download the Plugin

2. Click **Download** to download the plugin as a ZIP file.

## Getting Started

After activating WXP Opening Times:

3. Select the days your business is open and enter the opening and closing times.
4. Save your settings.
5. Add your opening hours to a page or post using the shortcode: `[wxp_opening_times]`

Alternatively, you can use the **Opening times** block in the WordPress Block Editor or the **Opening times** widget in Elementor.

**Important:** WXP Opening Times uses your WordPress site's time zone, week start day, and time format. Check these settings under **Settings → General** to make sure your opening hours are displayed correctly.

## Troubleshooting

If you experience problems during installation or setup, check the following:

- **Plugin not found in search results:** Make sure you are searching for **WXP Opening Times**. Alternatively, download the ZIP file directly from [WordPress.org](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wxp-opening-times/) and install it manually.
- **Installation fails:** Check that your WordPress installation meets the plugin's requirements and that your website has sufficient disk space. If you are uploading a ZIP file, make sure it is the original plugin ZIP file.
